Washington D.C.

This past weekend my friends Nicki and Debbie went with me to my sister's house in Waldorf. It was Debbie's birthday so to celebrate we went to Washington D.C. to see the ruby slippers. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see them since they moved them back into a CLOSED museum!! Sorry Deb!!

But, we were able to see A LOT of stuff downtown. We stopped at the History Museum, the Holocaust Museum & the new World War II Memorial. We took a cool trolley through town to see the sites. Our driver was from Pittsburgh and he was pretty funny when he practiced his Pittsburgh-ese on us.

Melissa made a cool cake for Deb with the ruby slippers on it since we missed them in person. I was impressed! We ate at a cool restaurant on Friday after our long day in town. Carl, Nicolas and I went to see Clone Wars on Saturday morning while the other girls went grocery shopping (that's right, I got out of that!!). And then Saturday night we had a great time with Kristy, Chris and Emily at the Pascarella house. Oh, and we spent the afternoon at their pool. Nicolas is FEARLESS in the water. It is fun to watch. And, of course, we all wanted to try a lap after watching Michael Phelps make Olympic history!!!!!

Happy Birthday Debbie!!

Just wanted to let you know I got a kick out of your pics. You've got a great camera, but you also know how to line up a good shot. I especially like the slide show! Keep'em comin'.
