Summertime Swimming Begins!

Yesterday was the first swim in Dad's pool this summer. Stacey brought Olivia over for the afternoon for some poolside fun. She blew bubbles, poured us some "tea" from the pool, got a tan, and played with a big pink ball. Good times! Can't wait to do it again.

Next time I will lotion up though because I don't tan like the Dunn Family. I am BURNT!!!!!

Goodbye Bentworth High School

I finished my internship at Bentworth High School yesterday. I loved it there! I am happy to be halfway through my internship experience but I will really miss them there! What a great learning experience :-)


Thanks to Barb, Dawn and all of the rest of the visitors to the Guidance Office.

Now off to the Elementary in the fall...

 

Daddy's heart

I am waiting for dad to get out of surgery. Actually, he is being prepped right now according to the computer colored graph chart thing on the wall. That is where I can follow his status.

Remember that patience comment from yesterday?? I am good with people. I am patient today. Just take your time with my Daddy like he is your own, Doc.

A Rant

Since I started the new "Family Blog" I have decided to use this blog to rant about things that are probably unimportant.

Today's topic: Patience.

Of which I have none. When it comes to my job (with students anyway) I am full of it. When it comes to children in general, I got that. When it comes to my personal life it goes out the window. Vacation, I want it now. New purchase, I want it now. I am a planner. If I want something I fixate on it. I research it like crazy until I know everything about it. If I need a doctor's appointment, I don't want to wait three weeks for the appointment--I am thinking about it NOW.

{And it makes me feel better to admit all that.}

So I am looking for comments. Something to debate my feelings. Some advice to better my life. Some soothing words to tell me that it is okay to be like that. Or a swift kick in the butt. Whatever comes to your mind. Don't hold back!! Who knows...maybe you will learn something too.
